Manuale ad usum Fratrum discalceatorum. Beatae Mariae Virginis de Monte Carmelo, congregationis Lusitanae, Tomus I sive pars prima, printed in Lisbon by the Typographia Regia in 1778, is a Carmelite chant book issued for the Lusitanian congregation. It contains music for general reception, processional hymns, Advent and Nativity services, and rites for the Purification. Issued by the royal press, this edition reflects the sanctioned liturgical usage of the order. Few examples remain from this period in their original leather bindings, making this a significant survival.
