Martin Luther is one of the most iconic and well-recognized figures of the Protestant Reformation. His theological teachings which rejected many of the Roman Catholic Church’s doctrines were polarizing in the development of Renaissance Protestantism.

 

This enormous tome from the complete works of Martin Luther was collected and edited by numerous contributors such as Nicolaus von Amsdorff and Timotheus Kirchner. This huge edition was published in Jena at the end of the 16th-century.

This particular 1575 tome contains many of Luther’s works such as: commentary on Book of Daniel, commentary on chapters from the Gospel of Matthew, and various sermons.

Very Good. Contemporary vellum binding remains tight and secure; vellum shows staining and is pulling slightly away from the boards at the edges. Text block complete with [6], 536 leaves, [2]. Tooling and the date 1594 remain visible on the front cover.
