In 1712, John Baskett began printing the Book of Common Prayer, shortly after the success of the 1710 New Testament. Baskett was the printer to the king during the first half of the 18th-century. This highly desirable 1752 edition is notable for featuring the famous Whole Book of Psalms by Sternhold and Hopkins. This impressive tome features 53 exquisite full-page engravings, portraits of saints and Bible scenes.
