Biblia – Heilige Schrfit, 1667 | German Language | Enormous Zurich Bible

An absolutely enormous Biblia…Heilige Schrift printed in Zurich by Bodmer in 1667. While this example is not in excellent condition, the size and age still make it an impressive Bible. It includes the Old and New Testaments as well as the Apocrypha all printed in German. The title pages include decorative borders and decorative vignettes.

Condition:

Fair. Leaves lacking from the front (title page and early leaves); wanting leaves at the end of the New Testament and a large section in the Old Testament. Many pages loose, others with loss of text. While the leather is strong, the binding is pulled away from the text-block, thought text-block is general secure.
