Andreas Würfel was an 18^th-century German Lutheran preacher and genealogist. While Wurfel himself was not Jewish, he did seek to publish historical collections of members of churches throughout Germany. Beginning in 1756, Wurfel published the first in a series of works entitled ‘Description of all the Clergymen Who have Served Luther in Nuremberg since the Reformation’.

This volume covers the biographies of preachers and deacons in the following churches:

• Frauenkirche in Nuremberg (Saint Maria-Saal)
• Saint Egidien Cathedral
• Saint Jakob Cathedral
