Image Gallery Description & Details

Romans de Voltaire by Voltaire features a collection of his philosophical and fictional works, published in Paris in 1878. It includes Zadig, Micromégas L’Ingénu, La Princesse de Babylone, Les Lettres d’Amabed, Le Taureau Blanc, and most notably Candide. The tomes themselves are perhaps the most desirable aspect of this work: two beautiful tomes with orange-brown leather over marbled boards and a decorative gilt spine. Note the full-page engravings from the large of Frédéric Auguste Laguillermie.
