Image Gallery Description & Details

Mostly known for his Presidency of the United States of America, Theodore Roosevelt was an avid explorer, hunter, and naturalist. One of his greatest contributions to the portfolio of American Westward expansion was his set of books entitled The Winning of the West. This book helped establish many of the ‘western’ tropes that exist in America today;  stories of Indian battles, skirmishes, Cherokee people, life of Daniel Boone, westward expeditions, and much more!

This 1903 edition was published in four hardcover volumes, beautifully bound with gilt spine and tooled signature on the front cover.
