First edition, two volume set of Lewis Carroll’s Sylvie and Bruno and Sylvie and Bruno Concluded, first editions published by Macmillan in 1890 and 1894, with 92 illustrations by Harry Furniss in original decorative bindings.
A rare edition of Lewis Carroll’s final novel published in his lifetime – “Sylvie and Bruno”. This work showed the evolution of Carroll as a writer, in that, he ventured into multiple plots within the same story. This book is set in a fairy tale timeline as well as a real-world setting and is beautifully illustrated by Harry Furniss. The story of “Sylvie and Bruno” was completed in 1893 with the conclusion entitled “Sylvie and Bruno Concluded”.
