Image Gallery Description & Details

François Rabelais was an early 16th-century French writer. He is often considered one of the earliest fantasy writers and, because of his monumental work Gargantua and Pantagruel, he helped establish the modern European literary style. According to Merriam-Webster, the world ‘rabelaisian’ has been coined as something that is “marked by gross robust humor, extravagance of caricature, or bold naturalism.” (MW, Rabelaisian).
