John Bunyan’s The Pilgrim’s Progress is one of the most important theological works ever written. Inspired by the Bible and Foxe’s Book of Martyrs while Bunyan was in prison, Progress has become one of the best-known Christian allegories in the English language. It follows a man named Christian on his journey from sin to salvation.
This 1794 British edition features 23 woodcut illustrations as well as a life of the author.
