Edward Walford was a British magazine editor best known for his book series Old and New London, of which the first two were written by Walter Thornbury. Old and New London is a one of the best Victorian illustrated histories of London. Walford and Thornbury include information on the inner city of London, Westminster, western suburbs, Hampstead and Edmonton suburbs in the north, and suburbs in the south as far as Clapham. This 1879 edition is filled with a myriad of black and white illustrated engravings throughout!
