1895 – Missale Romanum, Catholic Church | Decorative Gilt Binding, Tours Folio
Large 1895 Roman Catholic altar missal printed by A. Mame of Tours, featuring red and black text, musical notation, decorative initials, liturgical prayers, chants, and Tridentine Rite services.
A rare 19th-century Catholic missal. While missals from this era are not considered overtly rare, this example is quite desirable. Published in Tours, this exquisite printing features a decorative cover, brass corners and clasps, full-page engravings, red and black text inks, and illustrated borders around the text pages. Like many missals, this book includes prayers, hymns, scripture and liturgical texts, as well as music/chant examples.
