1535 – Martin Luther – Commentary on Isaiah | German First Edition from Wittenberg

Martin Luther is one of the most iconic and well-recognized figures of the Protestant Reformation. His theological teachings which rejected many of the Roman Catholic Church’s doctrines were polarizing in the development of Renaissance Protestantism.

This small 1535 excerpt of the works of Martin Luther includes his commentary on chapters 36 and 37 of the Book of Isaiah. It was translated into German by Georg Burckard (i.e. Georg Spalatin)
