This remarkable 1585, vellum-bound printing of the works of Belleau includes his most iconic work, Les Amours et nouveaux eschanges des pierres précieuses – a cycle of poems centered on gemstones, each poem focuses on a specific stone such as ruby, pearl, or emerald.
It should be noted that this imprint coves from the famous Robert Estienne publishing house, done by Mamert Patisson.
