An Historical Journal of the Campaigns in North America for the Years 1757, 1758, 1759, and 1760 by John Knox is a primary, firsthand account of the British campaigns during the Seven Years’ War. This first edition, published in 1769, offers descriptions of numerous battles and strategic plans, perhaps most notably is the coverage of the Battle of Louisbourg. This set of volumes from Knox’s journals includes curious perspectives from both French and British military intelligence. This work is among the most cited and most referenced sources on the conquest of Canada during the 18th-century.
