  1. Frank Baum’s timeless classic The Wizard of Oz was published in 1899 and inspired numerous reprints and sequels, including 1913’s The Patchwork Girl of Oz. This story furthers the story of the Land of Oz and the Emerald City, uncovering its magic and interesting figures and reviving the stories of Dorothy and the Scarecrow. This is the first printing and first edition of this classic work with John R. Neil’s illustrations.

Condition:

Good. Binding remains intact and square, though the green cloth is faded and somewhat soiled, and there is moderate wear to the ends of the spine and corners. Edges show mild wear. Hinges are repaired to be secure, and text block is loose but complete. The pages show moderate browning throughout, as is typical of children’s books from this time period. Some damage to ads at end. The illustrated endpapers retain their color.
