This work is beautifully illustrated with impressive, full-page engravings of Egyptian royalty, architecture, cities, and Arab culture.

This rare, first English edition was translated out of the original German by Clara Bell with an introduction and notes by S. Birch, the keeper of the Department of Oriental Antiquities in the British Museum.
