Album d’histoire naturelle recueil d’animaux domestiques et sauvages by Grobon Freres (circa 1850) is a large oblong folio featuring engraved illustrations of animals common to rural and domestic life. Issued in Paris by A. Hauser, the work includes depictions of cows, sheep, donkeys, geese, and other birds rendered in a clear nineteenth-century style. The format allows for broad compositions across each plate, suited to visual study and display. Sets of this scale with complete engraved plates are not often encountered.
