One such work was his study into the various campaigns and battles of the War of 1812. “Northern Campaigns” focused primarily on the Napoleonic engagements near Moscow and St. Petersburg and the position of the Russian armies in Poland and Russia.

This valuable 1813 two-volume first edition is complete with the original folding maps, maps that are often lacking from this set.
