Luis de Camões was a 16^th-century Portuguese poet best known for his work ‘Os Lusiadas’. This poem focuses on Portuguese voyages and discoveries of the 15^th– and 16^th-centuries. Later editions, particularly English editions, were known to feature critical attacks on Adam Smith’s Wealth of Nations and many of the economical patterns of Renaissance trade.

This 1776 French edition was published in Paris by Nyon in two volumes.
