First published in 1723, this work is a detailed account of the origins of the Dutch republic with descriptions of major events and figures from throughout the 16^th-century until the Treaty of Utrecht and the end of the Spanish Succession… And while the contents are accurate and thorough, the main draw of this work is the inclusion of over 100 engravings of coins, medals, and medallions that depict portraits, battle scenes, maps, monuments, and iconic landmarks.
