Titi Livii historiarum quod extat by Titus Livy, printed in Amsterdam by Daniel Elsevier in 1678-79, is a three-volume Latin edition of Rome’s early history, edited by Johannes Gronovius and issued in full leather with engraved plates.
Few works on the history of Rome are as important and impactful as Livy’s Ab Urbe Condita. Livy began working on this work at the end of the 1st-century BC and covers the earliest times and the foundation of Rome through the reign of Caesar Augustus. This 1679 Elzevier edition was edited with notes by Johannes Gronovius and Carlo Sigonio.

Condition:
Very Good. Full leather bindings remain tight and secure, with mild rubbing at corners and edges. The spines show expected age toning, while the text blocks are tight and stable. The engraved title page is retained and clean. Pages exhibit minor age toning consistent with seventeenth-century paper, without loss of text.
