This fine work in was collected and edited by Francois Pommeraye, a Benedictine monk from Rouen who wrote numerous works on the history of Rouen from its cathedral, to archbishops, various abbeys, and even almsgiving practices in Rouen. Pommeraye was well acquainted with the earliest manuscripts held in Rouen and utilized them to write this book, “Sanctæ Rotomagensis ecclesiæ concilia”. He included the names of the supreme pontiffs of Rouen, Rouen letters, legal agreements, and even the names of the Archbishops of Normandy.
