Giacomo Filippo Tomasini was a 17^th-century Catholic bishop in Istria most known for his biographical books on Catholicism and important Catholic figures. His book “Episcopi Aemoniensis Titus Livius” is a collection of letters and writings on and about Livy and the antiquities of Pavia. Livy was celebrated for his flavor of Patavinity, and Tomasini wrote many works that trended toward the styles of Livy. This book also contains Tomasini’s De Tesseris Hospitalitatis” – a rare book on Roman Catholic hospitality and humanitarianism.
