      • Toby Chauncy (1674–1733), of Edgcote, Northamptonshire, was a British lawyer and politician who sat in the House of Commons from 1730 to 1733. His manor estate of Edgcote House would pass to his son, Richard Chauncy (1690-1760), who was a London merchant and four times the Deputy-Chairman of the East India Company and three times the Chairman. Richard would eventually pass the estate to his great-nephew, Thomas Carter.
