John Boys was 16^th-century Canterbury minister who wrote numerous works on scripture. One of his best works was ‘An Exposition of the Dominical Epistles and Gospels’. This book is a collection of sermons and biblical commentaries given for various Sundays in the liturgical calendar beginning with each Sunday of Advent.

 

This rare 1610 edition of Boys’ ‘Exposition’ is bound along with Bishop John Williams’ “The Holy Table”. This treatise was a direct attack on William Laud’s views of Arminianism and historic church doctrines.
