Bernardo Tasso was a 16^th-century Italian author who is best remembered for his extensive collection of letters to prominent Italian figures. These letters included correspondence with Cagnino Gonzaga, Annibal Caro, Cardinal Pietro Bembo, Guido Rangoni, and Popes Paul III and Clement VII.

 

This 1597 edition is exceedingly rare – only one example is held in any institutional library in the entire Western Hemisphere!
