Maximus of Tyre’s Dissertations (1517) is the first Latin edition of the philosopher’s Platonic discourses. Printed in Rome, this folio edition contains forty-one dissertations translated from Greek into Latin by Cosmo Paccio. The volume is bound in modern leather, complete, and remains notably well-preserved. It is a rare example of post-incunable classical scholarship from the early sixteenth century.

Near Fine. The volume is bound in modern full leather with ornamental tooling. The spine bears five raised bands and a red leather title label stamped in gilt. Internally, the book is clean and crisp with wide margins and a solid binding structure. The text block remains strong across all leaves. The pagination is complete (CXV, [1] leaves), with pagination errors expected.
