  1. Frank Baum’s The Marvelous Land of Oz was printed in 1904 by The Reilly & Britton Co. of Chicago. This is a first edition, second printing, identified by “Published, July, 1904” on the copyright page. It continues the Oz storyline with a new central figure, a boy named Tip, who runs away from the witch Mombi and crosses paths with familiar faces such as the Scarecrow and Tin Man. John R. Neill filled the pages with illustrations, including all 16 color plates and numerous drawings in black and white.
