Histoire generalle des guerres de Piedmont, Savoye, Montferrat, Mantoüe et duché de Milan by Francois de Boivin is a rare collection of military memoirs written during the Italian Wars of the 1550s. Boivin recorded his firsthand experiences noting battle strategies, siege results, and even official correspondences with Charles V. Much of the work deals with specific operations in Piedmont and Savoy including the Sieges of San Damiano (1553), Valfenières (1554), and Santhià (1554).
