The pages cover wartime actions, city occupations, political statements, and military portraits. Articles includes the Second Battle of Bull Run, Antietam, Fair Oaks, Gaines’s Mills, New Orleans, and early stages in Vicksburg. Printed proclamations from Jefferson Davis and Abraham Lincoln appear alongside profiles of Grant, Burnside, and Jackson.

Condition:

Fine. Quarter leather binding with raised bands and gilt title on spine. Boards show light rubbing at corners. Hinges tight. Pages show mild age-toning and scattered foxing. All issues are present with engravings well preserved and legible.
