The Holy Bible – 1887 | Enormous Illustrated Victorian Bible

This enormous printing of The Holy Bible was published by the Butler Brothers around 1887. Like many Bibles from this era, it features both the Old and New Testaments as well as the Apocrypha; however, this example includes countless study tables including lists of kings of Judah and Israel, an enormous Bible dictionary, commentary on Paul’s missionary voyages, prophecy tables, and even a short treatise on the history of religious denominations. The illustrated gallery of bible scenes also sets this edition apart from other large 19^th-century Bibles.
