Praelectiones Academicae in Schola Historices Camdeniana is a 1692 printing of lectures given by Henry Dodwell concerning ancient Rome. This series of lectures marked the beginning of Dodwell’s tenure at Camden as a professor of ancient history. The lectures explore Roman Caesars and wars noting some of the earliest sources such as Virgil and Pliny. Dodwell references Nero, Tiberius, Augustus, Hadrian, and Diocletian and includes a compact outline of the lives of Trajan and Hadrian.
