Often called the Wilhelmshöhe Garden, this exquisite landscape in Kassel, Germany is notable for being one of the world’s best examples of baroque garden design, art, and engineering.

In the 18^th-century, Italian architect Giovanni Francesco Guerniero was heavily involved in planning the initial architectural and engineering aspects of the park. Guerniero’s designs and plans were published in this elephant folio – a collection of views of fountains, statues and art, garden plans, pavilions and neoclassical temples, and of course the Schloss Wilhelmshöhe.
