This large-format American family Bible also includes indexed tables and two engraved frontispieces, one for each Testament. A compelling record of western settlement, this copy contains genealogical inscriptions of the Hirlbert and Shipley families, early residents of Lane County, Oregon.

Condition:

The book is bound in full leather with moderate rubbing to the boards and edges. The spine remains structurally intact, and the binding is firm throughout. All page edges are marbled, though faded. Internally, the Bible is complete, including both frontispiece engravings. The pages are generally clean, with age toning consistent with mid-19th century American imprints. Adhesive advertisement stuck to one leaf.
