In fact, only one other work was published with anatomical engravings prior to geminus’s “<em>compendiosa</em>” (raynalde’s “<em>byrth of mankinde</em>”, 1540). This 1553 first english edition was collected and translated by nicholas udall and should be considered <strong><u>the most valuable and rarest of early english anatomical literature</u></strong>.
