Walt Whitman is among the most influential poets in the American canon and is often called the father of free verse. His work, especially “Leaves of Grass”, was very controversial in its time due to its contents containing overt sexuality. This 1894 edition, is a rare reissue of the 1892 complete “Deathbed Edition” was printed with all of Whitman’s final changes.
