The first edition of this work had a small print run in 1897, only including enough copies for the members of the senate. This edition covers 1789 to 1908 and includes the messages of the Presidents from George Washington all the way to Theodore Roosevelt. A beautiful display!

Condition:
Very Good. Half leather binding and marbled boards are clean, with moderate edgewear and leather chipping due to dryness. The text blocks are tight and secure. Internally, the pages are mildly age-toned, but the text is clean, free of markings, and without loss. Color illustrations retain their tissue guards.
