A truly rare late 17^th-century Holy Bible and Book of Common Prayer from the Church of England. Like many similar works, this book includes the Psalms of David, calendars, orders of prayers, tables and rules for devotion, and litanies and prayers. This edition, published by Charles Bill, is an enormous folio printing with large-font text in two column format. It also includes the “Psalms of David”.

This particular edition was published by Bill with credit given to the deceased Thomas Newcomb, printers to Queen Elizabeth. It was bound in an armorial leather binding with the royal arms impressed into the front and back boards.
