The story follows Betsy Bobbin, the Vegetable Man, and the tender-hearted Hungry Tiger as they join forces with Scarlet Prince Evered, the rightful ruler of Rash to recover three magic rubies and restore order to the Rashian kingdom from the wicked tyrant Irasha the Rough.

Published by the Reilly and Lee Co. in 1926, this first edition is bound in green cloth and includes 12 color illustrations by John R. Neill that bring the magical world and its inhabitants to life.
