His expedition unexpectedly vanished in Oceania, but not before his much of his naval journey was recorded. Goodrich provides an exciting story of the scientific expeditions and world discovery that La Peyrouse encountered. His voyages took him from France to Hawaii, to Alaska and East Asia, but his ship suddenly disappeared near the Solomon Islands.
