Royal Arch Masonry is a chapter of the York Rite system of Masonic degrees, established in Ireland in the mid-18th-century. As its popularity grew, it made its way into Scotland, England, and eventually to the United States. In 1786, the chapter published the first edition of their laws and regulations which outlined chapters, lodges, rituals, and ceremonies. This particular early 19th-century issue includes notable in-text engravings of freemasonry symbols.
