Jean Osterwald was an 18th-century Swiss preacher known for his exegesis and dogmatic works. One of this final, and most well-known works, was ‘Theologiae Compendium’ – a treatise describing many of the facets of Christianity based on those previously given by Thomas Aquinas in his ‘Compendium’.
This early American edition was published in Hartford and translated by John McMains.
