An interesting Edo woodblock-print of an ‘Illustrated Agricultural Encyclopedia’ from the early 19^th century by Yasusada Miyasaki originally written in 1697. “Agricultural Encyclopedia” was one of the earliest published books on agriculture in Japan, describing all the farming methods in Western Japan based on his own experiences and experiences, with reference to the Chinese book “Complete Book of Agricultural Administration” paying special attention to grains, vegetables, fruit trees and more.

This rare edition is written in a column handwritten format with furigana usage for easier reading and has 66 illustrations of plants!
