A rare, late 18^th-century printing of a funeral sermon preached at the funeral of American Revolutionary War officer, Benjamin Troop. While published sermons of this era are rare of themselves, this particular issue is of real intrigue.

 

This issue was owned by Lydia Lathrop, wife of William Draper. Draper and Lathrop lived in Nauvoo and were among the few Mormons who began the trek moving westward to Utah.
