‘Pizarre’ is a famous 18^th-century opera by French composer Pierre-Joseph Candeille and librettist Pierre Duplessis. Also known as “The Conquest of Peru”, this opera is based on the life of Spanish conquistador Francisco Pizarro and his conquering of the Incan Empire in Peru.

 

This 1785 edition of the libretto (or lyrics) of ‘Pizarre’ was published in Paris by Lormel.
