1765 ATLAS MAPS & Voyages Pluche Geography Asia Arabia Greece America Egypt
Noël-Antoine Pluche was an early 18th-century French priest and historian who is most remembered today for his landmark work of natural history ‘Spectacle of Nature’. While this work would have significant influence on botanists and naturalists, Pluche designed the work to be for the general population, not of scientific merit.
Pluche, however, was not known for just ‘Spectacle’. He wrote several other works including a large geographical concordance. This book, published in 1765, is an alphabetical concordance supplemented with 14 plates and maps.
