Jacob Campo Weyerman was an 18^th-century Dutch painter who is known for his writings and histories of Dutch art. His most important work was ‘Lives of Dutch Painters’ in which he collected and published numerous biographical sketches. This volume was published in 1729 in The Hague and includes portrait engravings to accompany many of the articles. Notable artists featured in this volume include:
