    • Manuscript ledger recording transactions between William Johnstone and various Scottish nobility including but not limited to the following:
      • James Johnstone, 1st Earl of Hartfell
        • A Scottish peer and royalist
      • William Douglas, 1st Earl of Queensberry
      • William Johnstone, 2nd Earl of Annandale and Hartfell, 1st Marquess of Annandale KT
        • A Scottish nobleman, he was a friend of Monmouth and nominally supported Revolution but joined “The Club” of Jacobite malcontents and was imprisoned in connection with the Montgomery plot. He was restored to favour on making a confession and was created an Extraordinary Lord of Session in 1693, and a Lord of the Treasury. He received a pension for services in connection with the Glencoe inquiry.

        • (1639−1686), was a Scottish politician
        • Sir Robert held the office of Member of Parliament for the sheriffdom of Dumfries between 1665 and 1674, and again from 1681 to 1682. He finally held the office in 1685.
        • He was created a Baronet of Glenae, Dumfries on April 11, 1666, in the Baronetage of Nova Scotia.
