Cornelius Nepos was a 1^st-century BC Roman author whose works have mostly all been lost. However, his one surviving work is “Excellentium Imperatorum Vitae” which is a collection of biographical descriptions of Roman and foreign leaders. According to Roberts, this work details

“Roman kings, generals, lawyers, orators, poets, historians, and philosophers.”

 

This rare 1675 printing is a rare edition by Hackiana, features an added, engraved title page, and is bound in impressive vellum.
